I can scarcely believe it's almost been a year! I have enjoyed these students so very much. I'll save my goodbyes for next week, here is the schedule for our 2nd to last week of school.
We have been enjoying good literature in our book/film unit and will start watching the movies this week. Classes voted on which novels to read and this will be a fun way to finish the year. Because I have 5 classes in 4 different novels, consider this schedule fluid. We will get to everything, just maybe not the exact same time table for every class. I'm sending home permission slips for the PG-13 movies (The Maze Runner (1st and 5th periods); The Hunger Games (3rd period); The Giver (6th period)). In case your student forgot their slip, here is the link: Permission Slip, these are due Monday. Students are welcome to bring popcorn/treats during the movie.
Something I do every year is have the students write a letter to themselves that I will mail to them when they graduate in 2021. Please send a stamp or .47 cents. Thanks!
