Week #17: Hello Article-of-the-Week!

Thank you to students for their hard work this week! We completed our benchmarks & I'm so proud at how students have achieved and really grown as readers and writers. Each student will bring home a certificate this week showcasing their 1st and 2nd trimester benchmark scores so you can see their growth and which areas they can improve it.

Our schedule got off last week because of library day, but we are back on track and the schedule for next week is below. We will be doing Article-of-the-Week, which is an interactive way to close read and really understand informational text. We will also have a 2-day unit to review the basics of grammar before we move into move heavy duty writing. I want this unit to be fun for students and get them moving around.

Please remind your student to read at home between 20-30 minutes a day--it will help them in every aspect of life:) Thanks for the ongoing support. Please contact me with questions or concerns.
