Week 30: Superhero Argumentative Writing Continues

Week 30?!? 10 more weeks of school left? I can't believe the year is going so fast. It has been a remarkable week. Teaching argumentative writing isn't easy. I learned about teaching writing in a slightly different way last week at the conference I attended and am excited to announce that it was very successful! I'm so proud of how students buckled down, dug deep and got out some solid writing. They were also so thoughtful and respectful when I lost my voice earlier in the week due to laryngitis. What awesome kids! Writing will continue this week, see the details below.

March 12-16 is Spring Break, so please make sure that you have all your worked handed in before our big break. Remember too to read at home 20-30 minutes a day, push hard to qualify for the iRead 40 Club: you can do it!!

Every trimester I do table teams, the winning teams gets a party of their choice. Here are the awesome winners who worked so hard to be successful with their teams. We had everything from rootbeer floats to doughnuts! Way to go guys!!
