Week 27: "The Giver" Begins!

Well, this last week was nothing like what I had planned. I ended up contracting a serious case of asthmatic bronchitis and spent most the of the week at home. Because I am doing so much within the context of the novel, I had the substitutes do reading and writing exercises instead of launching into the novel. I missed teaching, as much as I missed breathing well, and I am delighted to be back this upcoming week. Yes, the schedule will look very similar to last week's for this reason. Thank you for your patience and a big thanks to students for being on their best behavior for the substitutes!  I realize that quite a few students missed last Tuesday due to SUPAF, I'll explain their make-up work on Monday.
