Dear Parents/Guardians,

On Friday, 7th grade students attended a presentation from Southwest Center focusing on recognizing depression and suicide prevention.  Students watch a YouTube clip where a teen girl showed her 100 reasons to live (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzFrIRDsVeI&safe=active).  To reinforce this idea, all students wrote 24 reasons to live on a page with a blank space for their picture.  We are asking each student to bring a 4 x 6 photo that they are in so we can create a nice piece of writing that they can keep.

Please remind your student to bring a picture tomorrow for this writing assignment.  I appreciate your support--it's been pretty amazing to see what the students are writing.  Please email me with any questions.
